Yoga Therapy is about empowering individuals to understand, face, and heal from harmful or limiting mental, emotional and physical conditions.
It is a wholistic approach, drawing extensively from the physical and philosophical traditions of Yoga, the healing framework of Ayurvedic medicine, the understandings of modern psychology and neuroscience, and the cultivation of self-awareness through mindfulness meditation.

What do sessions look like?
During the (free) assessment session and early in our work we will establish an overall framework for meeting your goals.
Sessions normally start with a check-in to see how your issues are manifesting that day, and then continue with a customized blend of:
- Relevant insights from Yoga/Aruveda/Psychology/Mindfulness;
- A series of asanas (postures) that specifically relate to what you’ve brought in that day, usually accompanied by guided imagery that ties the asana to the relief you seek; and
- Mindfulness meditation.
We conclude by selecting at-home practices that will help you keep the healing and growth going between sessions.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am currently seeing private clients via Zoom. I will continue to meet with you in this virtual way to protect us both, as well as everyone we encounter. Once it’s safe, we’ll switch over to in-person sessions.
